I don't really have much to report, actually. I just felt like checking in so you all didn't think I had disappeared.
Haven't done much since the trip to Asheville last weekend. Mostly just worked. Work is going all right, considering the economy. We had a couple people leave. They were in sales and they felt like they were Sisyphus. Actually, neither of them would have felt like that since I am certain they didn't know what that would mean if I said it to them. But, if your heart isn't into selling temporary help then you aren't going to be very good at it. We are actually feeling all right about them leaving. It cuts some expenses and we can focus on getting our office in order and get back to profitable. We are aiming in the right direction. I love my company.
On the home front, nothing too spectacular. Matt and I have been designing our Camp Toilet solutions for the land. There is a book called The Humanure Handbook by a guy named Joseph Jenkins. It is about composting toilets and such. Excellent solution for our building project since we are looking at being self sustaining. If you are into that sort of thing, check it out. He is considered a near saint among people in the alternative building movement.
On Tuesday we played Lord of the Rings on line with
mtn_hermit and only one of our Michigan friends. He has not experienced the force known as BJ yet. I am looking forward to that.
Today, I got my emissions test done. My car is certified for another year.
I also decorated for Easter/Spring (depending on your religious preference). It is going to be in the 70s all weekend here in Atlanta. Hard to believe it was snowing just last weekend. Welcome to the south.
Tonight we are going to
reikimaster and
thunder24's house for dinner.
reikimaster is promising the best lasagna ever and we are bringing an antipasto and some Italian wine. Then we are going to see Watchmen at the IMAX. The movie isn't until 10:30 so I had better get a nap in this afternoon. I fell asleep watching Dollhouse last night and that is on at 9pm. Woke up at "Grr...arg!". I'm pathetic. Well, truth is I am just more of a morning person and the world needs morning people too. The real question is, how come I never meet any other morning people? Is the world just full of night people and I am the only morning person in it??? It is lonely from 7am to Noon.

We had a great Easter. We invited
reikimaster and
thunder24 over for dinner. Matt and I got an itch to experiment with the Greek Cook Book that his mom got for us. We selected three recipes - an appetizer, a main course and a vegetable.
Our guests arrived around 3 and we opened a bottle of Greek Wine. The appetiser - Greek Potato Croquets - were in the oven. I tortured
reikimaster with some scrapbooks.
oneandonlymatt cooked dinner. The main course recipe was as follows:
Cut 2lbs of lamb into pieces. Brown that in a stick of butter with 2 diced onions. Cover the meat with water and add a small can of tomato paste, salt and pepper and other spices (we went with nutmeg). Cook for an hour or until meat is partially done. Then add either spaghetti or Makaroni (long skinny noodles with a hole in the middle - common in greek cooking) and cook until pasta is done (add water if needed). And let me tell you - that was AMAZING!
After we stuffed ourselves with dinner, we tortured our guests some more by subjecting them to a game of "AtmosFEAR". That game is totally ridiculous.
thunder24 won!
At that point, we were ready for dessert.
reikimaster had made and brought a Bailey's Cake! OMG! It was so delicious. I think the recipe was pretty much yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, chocolate chips and bailey's with a baileys glaze of some sort on top. She left the left over glaze with us. I had a decadent idea to take it camping with us this weekend and make chocolate chip pancakes and put the bailey's glaze on it! Yum.
We had an awesome time. Awesome food. Great company. We'll have to do it again sometime.
This weekend, we head to Asheville for my birthday extravaganza. Yay.

I haven't been posting lately. I am so sorry. I know you all don't know what to do without me. So, here is a brief update of what we have been up to.
( life of wheezy )
Happy Spring everyone! Feels good, doesn't it?

Here are some photos that I have neglected to post over the last little while. Ther is no rhyme or reason for these.
( here are a couple from Athenaze at University of Georgia )
( and here is a pic of my current altar for Artemis )
( and here is a random pic of Piggy sleeping in her fluffy pink bed and her blankie )
( and here are some easter eggs )
And that is all of the photos for now. Maybe more later.
